Internet traffic on BNIX increased by 36 percent in 2023

After a slight decline in 2022, internet traffic on BNIX surged again in 2023. With an average traffic of 270 Gbit per second - 36 percent higher than in 2022 - and several peaks above 440 Gbit/s, 2023 set new records.

The European Internet Exchange Association (Euro-IX) gathers 73 IXPs from around the world. It was formed in May 2001 with the intention to develop, strengthen and improve the Internet Exchange Point (IXP) community.
