Remote peering means peering without a physical presence at the local exchange point. This can be done because reseller partners have already connected their network to BNIX. The reseller takes care of the transport, the peering port on the BNIX platform and all contractual obligations. As a remote participant you have access to all BNIX services, including the public peering LAN, BNIX route server and access to the BNIX portal. First line customer care support is provided by the reseller. In addition, you can call BNIX Service Desk directly at any time.

Benefits of remote peering

Remote peering can answer your needs to keep things simple, enjoy maximum flexibility and reduce costs.

Cost efficient

Peering via a reseller reduces hardware and colocation costs while providing direct interconnection to multiple networks.

Flexible

BNIX resellers usually offer more bandwidth choices and access to more than one Internet Exchange.

Simple

One contract, one bill, so less paperwork at the end of the day. You don’t need to sign any BNIX contract, you just sign with our reseller and we coordinate everything with them. Your AS number is announced in the BNIX participants list and you can peer with all connected networks as if you had your equipment installed in a BNIX datacenter. You keep full control of your peering and routing policy.
